Commitment to research
National and European projects
The French Institute of Bioinformatics contributes to or coordinates national and European scientific projects through PIA, PEPR, and other French funding sources, as well as through its participation in European projects via Elixir and the development of bioinformatics infrastructure.
This participation demonstrates its commitment to infrastructure development and scientific research in Biology and Health.
Acknowledgments and Affiliation
Acknowledgments and affiliations for each project can be found in the dedicated section.
Submit project-related publications to HAL, as required.

AgroServ
Integrated Services Supporting a Sustainable Agroecological Transition (AgroServ) will facilitate a systemic and holistic approach to understanding the threats and challenges facing agriculture in implementing a resilient and sustainable agri-food system
ELIXIR FAIRyMAGs
ELIXIR FAIRyMAGs aims to advance metagenomic research by developing, optimizing and disseminating FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable) workflows dedicated to the construction of MAG (Metagenome-Assembled Genomes).
ELIXIR HARVEST
ELIXIR HARVEST aims to optimize existing resources by relying on recognized data standards (MIAPPE, ISA, ARC, RO-Crate) to facilitate access and reuse of plant data.
ELIXIR INTOXICOM
Recognizing the importance of toxicology, ELIXIR has created a community dedicated to this discipline. Its objective is to align FAIR solutions and open data from toxicology with ELIXIR services and resources. To do this, existing open solutions for integrating toxicological data will be disseminated.
ELIXIR Metabolomics
The ELIXIR tools platform aims to maintain and expand its services to facilitate the search, accessibility, interoperability and reusability of IT tools in order to meet the needs of the ELIXIR 2024-2028 program.
ELIXIR STEERS
The objective of ELIXIR-STEERS is to enable users across the European Research Area to access federated data and perform large-scale cross-border analyses in the field of life sciences.
ELIXIR Technology Tools
The ELIXIR tools platform aims to maintain and expand its services to facilitate the search, accessibility, interoperability and reusability of IT tools in order to meet the needs of the ELIXIR 2024-2028 program.
EOSC4cancer
EOSC4Cancer brings together comprehensive cancer centers, research infrastructures, leading research groups and major computing infrastructures across Europe to enable the exploitation of large cancer datasets.
GDI
The project aims to access genomic data and related phenotypic and clinical data across Europe. It does this by establishing a federated, sustainable, and secure infrastructure for accessing this data. It builds on the results of the Beyond 1 Million Genomes (B1MG) project and delivers on the ambition of the 1+Million Genomes (1+MG) initiative.
PeoplePulse
People Pulse aims to develop a community of skilled, diverse, and collaborative collaborators within ELIXIR by focusing on member integration, clearly defining roles, providing training, and fostering organizational and managerial skills. People Pulse intends to stimulate research and innovation in bioinformatics.
PHENET
The PHENET project aims to integrate European research infrastructures (RIs) on plant phenotyping, ecosystem experimentation, long-term observations and data management, and bioinformatics. The goal is to develop new numerical tools and methods to characterize the performance of combinations of species, genotypes, and agricultural practices in anticipation of the most likely climate scenarios across Europe.
