Within the IFB research and development program, and independently of certain projects carried out individually by the platforms, the Action Coordination Committee (CoCoA) of the IFB-core unit pilots and implements an ambitious, transversal and international program. This is oriented towards the development of the components necessary for the exploitation of biological data (whatever the fields of application and at each stage of their life cycle) thanks to the implementation of a modular software environment, specialized tools for the management and analysis of omics, imaging and structural data. These developments are in line with the FAIR principles (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable) which govern the management of scientific data in open science.
Our scientific program is structured around the following 5 strategic axes:
- Artificial intelligence (AI) for biology-health;
- Orchestration of data flows (FAIRization, data management, project monitoring, support for researchers for deposit);
- Data resources (preservation, sustainability, security, openness and sharing);
- Digital services (technological, scientific, geographic, cybersecurity, consistency of the NNCR offer, etc.);
- Processing of sensitive data (of different types: health, economic value, biodiversity, etc.).
