The IFB has been invited to a webinar on the interoperability of health and medical research data, organised by INSERM on Wednesday 20 March 2026, from 9am to 5pm.

This webinar will feature presentations and roundtable discussions on the issues, challenges, methods, tools and use cases surrounding the interoperability of health data, and how to address the main challenges of security, confidentiality, etc. posed by its specific characteristics.

Find out what IFB members have to say:

  • Jacques van Helden, Deputy Director of IFB/ELIXIR-FR, will speak on issues relating to the interoperability of genomic data.
  • Alban Gaignard, co-head of the IFB-core health community and research engineer at the Thorax Institute, will give a talk on ‘Semantic tags: a framework for handling federated queries on genomic variants and the public knowledge graph’.
  • David Salgado, also co-head of the IFB-core health community, will chair the session on Patient Data.
