The Galaxy Community Conference 2026 (GCC2026), the flagship event of the Galaxy community, co-organized by Université Clermont Auvergne (UCA), Institut Français de Bioinformatique (IFB/ELIXIR-FR) and Johns Hopkins University, will be held from June 22 to 24, 2026 in Clermont-Ferrand (63), followed by CoFest on June 25 and 26.

This international event will bring together researchers, engineers, developers and platform managers from the Galaxy community, to discuss the challenges of open science and the analysis of massive data in the life sciences.

An international rendezvous for the Galaxy universe

The conference provides a strategic forum for researchers to guide Galaxy’s development, forge partnerships and explore how Galaxy can address research priorities.

Scientific presentations, training sessions, panel discussions and strategic exchanges are on the program, offering participants an opportunity to learn, share their work and collaborate within this large community.

On June 25 and 26, a collaborative hackathon, CoFest, will follow, enabling contributors to work together on tools, documentation and resources for the Galaxy platform, and to extend the community and its ecosystem.
